Love God, Love Neighbor, Love Self –Romans 13

Returning to school this year is walking on Holy Ground. We are called to lead across an uncharted path and move safely with our community. These moments show how God is with us today– as God called Moses at the Burning Bush (Exodus 3), and parted the Sea to make a path (Exodus 14). God is with each of us, and God walks the new paths with us.

I am so excited to be your chaplain this year at STP! Your ideas and feedback are important and please be in touch with ways the life of Chapel at school can support your family and faith tradition. We began virtually, with 2 short chapel videos, filmed with Michael on Music and Father Paul serving as priest. The chapel structure follows the Episcopal Lectionary, and the Daily Office “Daily Devotions for Individuals and Families,” Book of Common Prayer p. 137. Each month there will be a verse of the month to learn, a Sacrament of the Month to Explore, and a Fruit of the Spirit to tie together our worship. Chapel will evolve with the school year as in-person options become more available. Please share the chapel videos with your family at home, as teachers are also invited to do in class.

The preschool will collaborate with St. Thomas’ Church Outreach Committee to find a monthly outreach opportunity. Please share any partnerships that are meaningful for you, or bridges that you would like to see grow. Outreach will be in the form of invitations to donate, and meaningful moments, such as making cards for people in need of some Love.

Let’s walk on Holy Ground together and create new paths.
